Ikuo Yamamoto joins Smoke&Oakum

Ikuo Yamamoto has joined Smoke&Oakum for the US market. Based in Tokyo, Ikuo has nearly two decades of commercials, music videos, documentaries and series behind him, including AFEELA for Sony Honda Mobility, Yamaha and the Taipei Fashion Week AW24 documentary, and in Japan he is best known for hip-hop videos for Tha BOSS, Mummy-D and SEEDA. He makes a film like a mixtape, with live action, AI, sound and edit all happening at once, and his AI films LAND OF BASTARDS and City of Bastards were Official Nominees at OMNI NINGBO 2026.
